Diamond Set Picnic


The Diamond Set will have a picnic lunch on Wednesday, May 17th, at 11:00am.  We will meet at the church at 10:30am or you can meet us at Colonel Francis Beatty Park in Matthews at 11:00am.  We will meet at Shelter #1, overlooking the lake.  Burgers will be provided.  Everyone is asked to bring a side item or a drink to share.  A Sign-up sheet is on the Bulletin Board. Parent/Child Dedication

We will have a Parent/Child Dedication on May 14th during the 10:45am worship service.  If you would like to participate, please see Georgia Channels or call the church office.

Men’s Monthly Coffee Fellowship

All the men are invited to meet at Starbucks on the corner of Rea and Tom Short Road on Saturday, May 13th, at 9:00am for coffee.  See Pastor Sam if you have questions.

4 x 4 Activity Groups

We will be starting a new cycle of 4×4’s that will run from June through September. Signup sheets can be found at the Welcome Center.  If you have any questions, please see Alysia Roach.

Men’s Monthly Breakfast

All the men of the church are invited to join us for breakfast at Stacks Kitchen in Waxhaw on Saturday, April 27th, at 8:30am.  If you have any questions, please see Joe Pomykacz.

Quarterly Members Meeting

There will be a Quarterly Members Meeting on Sunday, April 30th at 6:00pmEach Ministry chairman and organizational leader is ask to be present and to make a report on the recent activity of your ministry.

Empty Water Bottle Collection


We are collecting empty water bottles (with lids) for an upcoming penny drive to benefit the Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina.  Please drop off empty, clean water bottles (with lids) to the drop box located in the church foyer.

Honduras Mission Trip Report

Elizabethan Gardens Nursing Home Ministry

The Elizabethan Gardens Nursing Home ministry is scheduled for April 15th at 8:45 AM. Contact Sally Burroughs for more information.

Easter Cross

On Easter morning, April 16th, there will be a cross outside the front door of the church  covered with wire.  Everyone is encouraged to bring cut flowers to place in the wire to change this symbol of  suffering into a symbol of beauty reminding us of the promise of resurrection that we have because of our faith in the Risen Lord!
