Preschool
The Preschool at First Baptist Church of Weddington is a program that operates as a part of the ministry of the church. Our goal is to provide a Christian environment for preschoolers to learn and grow. The Church sees our preschool as an outreach to the children, parents, church members and community.
The program is designed to meet the needs of our children. Our preschool uses the Weekday Early Education Curriculum Guide. This program will include activities that help the child grow emotionally, mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. The program curriculum allows the children to participate in art, building blocks, home-living, music, nature, and more. In this environment, children have the freedom to make choices as to the project and material they want to use for creating unique masterpieces of their own. Basics such as colors, shapes, numbers and the alphabet will be introduced in a way to make learning fun.
We are unashamedly a Christian Preschool. Spiritually, the children will hear Bible stories and learn about Jesus. The will also have daily prayer time.Our students will have chapel time with a pastor once a month.
Our goal for the children is to develop a positive self-image, social skills and respect for others as we lay a foundation that they will continue to build upon as they grow.
FBCW Preschool Registration for 2010-2011 School Year
Registration for First Baptist Church Members Only - FBCW Church members will be mailed a registration letter on January 11. Please fill out and return to the church by January28.
Registration for families currently enrolled at FBCW – Registration forms will be sent home in communication folders on January 19. All forms are due by January 28 with the $100.00 first child/$75.00 second child registration fee. We have not had to do a lottery in the past for siblings but if this does occur, forms will not be ranked by order received but by a drawing.
Registration for the community – Registration will be made available through an intent to Register Form. Parent tours for Public Registration will be held on February 2 and 3 at 10:00. In order to limit the interruption to our classes, we ask that you do not bring children during the tours. You may pick up a letter of intent on those dates and call to sign up for a tour. Forms will not be ranked by date received. All forms must be received by February 3. The forms will be randomly pulled to fill classes on February 4. In the event that we are not able to enroll a child because of limited openings, we will add the child’s name to a numbered wait list. Families will be notified by phone on February 4 if a spot is available and how to finish the registration process.
Please Note: Two’s must be two years old on or before May 31. Children must be age appropriate by August 31, 2010 for out 3, 4, and TK classes.

2 year old class (Monday & Wednesday) $180.00 per month
3 year old classes (Tues,Wed,Thurs) $200.00 per month
4 year old classes (Mon,Tues,Wed) $200.00 per month
4 year old classes (Mon,Tues,Wed,Thurs) $230.00 per month
Transitional Kindergarten (Mon,Tues,Wed,Thurs) $255.00 per month
