First Baptist Church of Weddington was started in 1990 by the current Pastor, Bill Fogarty. A cooperating Southern Baptist Church and a member of the Union Baptist Association and affiliated with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention.
Our Mission is Two-Fold: First -The Great Commandment found in Matthew 22:37-39 – Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind and love your neighbor as yourself. Second – The Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20- Go into all the world and make disciples. Baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teach them to observe all that Christ has commanded.
